Gardeners have a connection with the environment
We gardeners have a connection with nature that goes beyond cultivation; it extends into a deep awareness of the impact we have on the planet. We naturally understand the importance of sustainability—not just as a trend, but as a natural extension of our relationship with the environment.
Despite this deep commitment, many of us find it difficult to find the tools and products that genuinely reflect these values. Too often, we’re faced with those that contribute to the very waste we’re trying to reduce.

They way things really are
Our founder, a buregoning gardener, experienced these same problems. In his search for quality, eco-friendly products, he was disheartened by the lack of options.
There were plenty of niche eco-friendly products, but these seemed to make nice gifts rather than solve real gardening problems.
Then there were the hoards of products that were poorly designed to withstand the wear and tear that comes with a gardener’s regular use.
There seemed to be a disconnect between the horticulture industry and the customers they were serving.

A new idea takes root
What if there were a place to buy gardening products where each one had to prove themselves as sustainable? What would that look like?
These are the questions posed during 2022 by Frankton's founder, Paul, who took it upon himself do not only ask the questions, but to build the answer.

1kg of waste plastic recovered with every order
Frankton's have partnered with CleanHub - an organisation on a mission to free our planet from plastic pollution.
With CleanHub we are able to invest in resilient waste management solutions across Asia, Africa and Central America. From now on, we will be collecting 1kg of non-recyclable plastic waste per every order. The entire process is tracked through CleanHub’s own Track & Trace technology, ensuring certified impact.
While orders dispatched directly from Frankton's use eco-friendly packaging, we recognise that for many of our partners and suppliers, plastic continues to be the most viable form of packaging. We will continue to work with our suppliers to find innovative ways to tackle this challenge. If we generate waste with our activities, we believe it is our responsibility to take care of it.
