Which is best for me, HOTBIN Mega 450L or 700L?
The HOTBIN Mega is designed for those who produce large quantities of garden and food waste for batch processing.
HOTBIN Mega 450L is great for those with large gardens and can be upgraded to the 700 with the optional expansion kit.
HOTBIN Mega 700L is perfect for very large gardens, community gardens or allotment groups.
What is the expansion kit option for?
The HOTBIN Mega Expansion kit is designed to add a further 200L capacity to the HOTBIN Mega 450 Litre.
It includes 2 Long Walls, 2 Short Walls, a User Guide, Aeration Valve and 1 Ratchet Strap.
What is a batch composter?
A batch composter is designed to be filled up to the top and left until it's ready, usually 90-days. It is best used where a lot of garden waste is produced.
This is different to HOTBIN 100L & 200L, which is designed to be added to frequently.

What's in the box?
Your HOTBIN Mega Composter will be delivered to you flat packed with assembly instructions. We recommend a two-person assembly on flat, level ground, outside either in the sun or shade.
Accessories include an aeration valve, two aeration pipes, a lid thermometer, an odour filter and a ratchet strap.
The ratchet strap maintains an airtight seal, keeping heat generated by the bacterial process in the unit. It's UV treated for long life.
