Important Delivery Information

General Delivery Information

Delivery to addresses in England, Wales and Southern Scotland is free of charge for all orders over £50.

If you live north of the Scottish Central Belt, on a Scottish Island, in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland, regrettably Zest will no longer deliver to these areas.

Please see below for a list of excluded postcodes and those with extended lead time.

Delivery Process

The majority of Zest products are delivered by DX with a 2-man service and a 2-3 hour delivery slot. These are packaged in heavy duty, fully recyclable polythene or with heavy duty cardboard. The parcel is banded and the ends taped for extra protection in transit.

Smaller items are dispatched by Parcelforce or TNT, and multiple/larger products are sent palletised via the Pallex network.

Orders are despatched within 3 working days of receipt and delivered on overnight courier service for delivery the next working day (certain postcodes are subject to slightly longer delivery timescales). We therefore advise a lead time of 3-5 working days (this begins from the next working day after receipt of an order).

When standard UK delivery times cannot be met

We offer a standard UK delivery time of 3-5 working days on all our products but this may vary with demand and postcode. Please read below for postcodes where an 8-day lead time can be expected.

Regrettably, orders cannot be dispatched on either Saturday or Sunday.

Delivery times cannot be guaranteed in case of adverse weather conditions, periods of extremely high orders or events with the courier once your order has left Zest.

Leave Safe and Signatures

If you are unable to accept their delivery, the carrier will attempt to obtain a signature from a neighbour or will leave it in a secure area if this is requested on the order – please be aware that any delivery instructions must be indicated on the order, otherwise these can’t be guaranteed. Zest or our carriers do not accept any liability for items being left in a ‘safe place’ at the customer’s request.

Pallet Deliveries

Some products, due to their large size, will be delivered on a pallet and have a lead time of 5-7 working days. Please note that these can only be left kerbside and it will be your responsibility to move it to the final location. Please keep this in mind when arranging your delivery.

This manger style design is ideal for gardens with small spaces or for those wanting to start growing their own produce. The 1m Veg Bed can hold up to a maximum of 225 litres* of compost. It's raised to protect your crops from pests, as well as to enable you to work without the need to stoop or bend.

Looking after your Veg Bed is very important. Before filling, ensure there is sufficient drainage to prevent waterlogging as this can damage your crops and put excessive strain on the structure. Place the veg bed on a firm and level surface for best results. During the winter months, the veg bed should be emptied and stored inside. However, if unable to do this use a breathable cover. If there is any significant snowfall, always ensure you remove from the top of your veg bed as it can damage the structure and shorten it's lifespan.
